This temple is situated near the Giant Swing. HM the King Rama I commissioned its construction in 1807 to enshrine the Phra To, or Phra Sri Sakayamunee, theThailand's biggest Buddha statue, image from Sukhothai. Construction was begun in the First Reign and completed in the Third Reign. The Phra Ubosot was built in the Third Reign and is very large and longest in Thailand. There are murals depicting the story of Buddha and the Ramakien story of Ramayana. The temple ground has a stone chedi in Chinese style and other artistic objects.

How to Get There : Get off the SkyTrain at Saphan Taksin Station (S6) and take Exit No.2, then board the Chao Phraya Express Boat from Sathorn Pier to Chang Pier or Phra Arthit Pier and travel by Taxi or Tuk Tuk to Wat Suthat, near Giant Swing.
