How many types of BTS Ticket are there?

  There are 2 types which are 1. the Magnetic Ticket, including Single Journey Ticketand One-Day Pass; and 2. the BTS SmartPass, including BTS Sky SmartPass (Stored Value SmartPass) and BTS 30-Day SmartPass.

At which station are Tourist Information Centers?

  Tourist Information Centers can be found at Saphan Taksin, Phaya Thai and Siam stations (Full collection of BTS souvenirs available at Saphan Taksin station, with selected items also available at Phaya Thai station. At Siam, tourist information service available only.

Will the BTS Skytrain be linked to the subway ?

  Yes, there will be 3 transfer points to the subway : Asok, Mo Chit and Sala Daeng.

Which BTS station connects to the Airport Rail Link?

  The Phaya Thai Station provides access to the Airport Rail Link.

What is Single Journey Ticket?

  A Single Journey ticket is purchased for one-way trip for the selected destination.

The fare is for that journey alone and is valid only on the date of issue date (Operating Hours: 06.00 - 24.00 hrs). 

At the end of the journey, the ticket is retained at the Automatic Exit Gate.

Single Journey Tickets can be purchased at both Ticket Issuing Machines (TIM), Integrated Ticketing Machines (ITM) and Ticket Vending Machines (TVM).

What is a One-Day Pass?

  A One-Day Pass allows unlimited rides and travel distance within the operating hours (06.00 – 24.00 hrs.) on the issuing or registered date. The One-Day Pass is non-refundable and can be purchased at any Ticket Office.

What is a BTS SmartPass? Why change to a BTS SmartPass?

  BTS SmartPass is the new type of BTS pass, which uses Contactless Smartcard Technology and contains an electronic chip for data storage. 

The new BTS Smart Passes provide passengers with a more efficient and convenient service, as passengers only need to tap the card reader with the pass to open an automatic gate.  The system also enables future ticket integrationwith other modes of transport and organizations.Is there an issuing fee for a BTS SmartPass?

Yes, normally there is a 30 Baht issuing fee for a new BTS SmartPass.
